Details about who we are, what we do and why we do itTurning to the Bible we find this answer to one of the most troubling questions of life: "Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed." We live in a world full of people who see themselves as victims. They blame a variety of people and circumstances for their own negative attitudes and behaviour. It's sort of a reverse placebo effect. If the doctor tells you he's giving you a drug to help ease your symptoms, they often ease, even if there is no active ingredient in the pill he prescribes. In the same way, if someone tells you that you are the victim of a bad relationship or experience in your past, you may chose to let your attitude and behaviour deteriorate. Our quote today places the responsibility squarely where it belongs, on the individual. It is our own desire or will that sets the course for our actions.     James 1:14
